Quarterly estimated taxes

No employer withholds your tax, so the IRS wants it four times a year

If you expect to owe $1,000 or more for the year after withholding and credits, you generally pay estimated tax with Form 1040-ES. Pay late or too little and the underpayment penalty runs from each due date, even if you pay everything by April.

How we work

Rules you can check us against

The bank and the IRS are the source

Amounts, deadlines and conditions come from the bank's offer page and terms, or from irs.gov, linked on every item.

Dated, not timeless

Every bonus shows when we last checked it. Expired offers move to “Recently ended” instead of quietly staying up.

Payment never buys a position

Bonuses are ordered by value to you. Affiliate links, when we have them, are labeled Ad, as the FTC requires.

No loans, no insurance, no investment advice

We are not a bank, a lender or a registered investment adviser, and we are not affiliated with the IRS. We explain rules and compare published terms.

I build and run hosting and e-commerce businesses, and I have written about money since 2015. I am not American: I run companies in Poland and the UK and look at US small-business banking from the outside, which is why every number here comes with its source. MainStreetRadar uses the method of my sites Mądry Dochód and TillRadar: read the terms, do the sums, show the date.
